It can be considered as picking first automation level. Being based on the traditional concept of man-to-goods, the ARP solution foresees the automation of the only refilling activities (that is the restoration of the product placed in the picking station) by stacker cranes, handling systems or LGVs.
The picking operator (guided by the WMS systems through radiofrequency communication) arranges the customer's pallet by picking the packages directly from the pallets on the ground, allocated and ordered according to stacking possibility and/or rotation class criteria, etc...
It is most suitable in countries where labour cost is not high; this system is suitable for applications where the total number of codes to be managed (SKU) is limited, while the number of package picking/h is high.
